More than anything else, staff members at Saguaro Camp Cedarbrook are trained, mature men and women who love the Lord, love kids and love camping and want to share their enthusiasm with others.
Adults, 18 years old and over who meet the requirements, are trained in camping and counseling skills which enable them to be effective staff members. Saguaro Camp Cedarbrook has positions available for cabin counselors, division directors, nurses, and other support staff. At our camp, all our staff is comprised of volunteers.
Debbie Cheney, “Roadrunner”, has been on the girls’ camp staff for 16 years. She has served in various positions, most recently as Director. She loves to serve at camp where she can share her love of the Lord. Debbie works as a Vision Therapist in the Phoenix area. She and her husband, Les, have 3 children.
Brett Schomaker (Kingfisher) has directed Saguaro Camp Cedarbrook boys camp for the past 10 years. Over this time the boys camp has grown from a weekend small group of campers to a full week of adventure camp with campers from 7 years old through high school. Brett works in sales in the Phoenix area and he and his wife Dee, have two children.
